This policy explains what Fino ("we", "us") collects when you use the Fino mobile application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Fino is an independent application operated by Kunal Behbudzade, a sole developer based in Türkiye ("the operator").
Fino does not ask for an email address or a password, and there is no sign-up form. When you first open the app, we create an anonymous account tied to your device. We never receive your Apple ID, your name from Apple, or your contact details.
| Category | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Device record | A device identifier, platform (iOS/Android), device model name, OS version and app version | To create and recognise your anonymous account, and to support the app |
| Profile | The display name you type during onboarding, and the topics you choose to follow (for example a company, a currency or a commodity) | To address you by name and personalise the news you see |
| Conversations | The messages you send to Fino and Fino's replies | To answer you, and to let you reopen past conversations |
| Assistant memory | Short notes Fino keeps about your stated preferences and context | So answers stay relevant across sessions |
| Alerts you create | The market conditions you ask Fino to watch, and the results | To notify you when something you asked about changes |
| Usage analytics | Events such as app opened, screen viewed, a feature used. Message content is not included | To understand which parts of the app work and which do not |
| Diagnostics | Crash and error reports | To find and fix defects |
| Subscription status | Whether you hold an active subscription | To unlock paid features |
Our analytics use a strict allowlist: for each event, only fields explicitly approved for that event are transmitted. Anything not on the list — including free text you typed, names, tokens and amounts — is dropped inside the app before any data is sent.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Card numbers and billing information are handled by Apple and never reach us. We only learn whether a subscription is active.
Fino's answers are generated by Google's Gemini models. To answer you, the content of your messages is transmitted to Google for processing. Do not send information to Fino that you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider — including account numbers, identity documents, passwords or other sensitive personal details. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own terms.
To compile the daily news digest, Fino also retrieves publicly available pages from news websites. This does not involve your personal data.
| Service | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Google (Gemini) | The content of your messages, for generating replies |
| PostHog | Filtered usage analytics events |
| Sentry | Crash and error diagnostics |
| OneSignal | Push notification delivery |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status |
| Cloud hosting and database providers | Storage of the data described above |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers.
On iOS, Fino asks for your permission before any activity that counts as tracking under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, the app continues to work. You can change this at any time in your device settings.
Push notifications are optional and require your permission. You can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, the data described in the next section is removed immediately. Backups and diagnostic logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
You can delete your account from within the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your profile, conversations and messages, assistant memory, followed topics, alerts and their results, feedback, usage records tied to your account, your sign-in tokens and your device record. This cannot be undone and we cannot restore deleted conversations.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. These rights may arise under Türkiye's KVKK (Law No. 6698), the EU/UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA in California. The fastest route to erasure is the in-app deletion described above. For anything else, contact us at b.kunal2002@gmail.com.
Fino relies on service providers that may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Fino is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under the age required in their country to consent to the processing described here. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page.
