Common questions

What is Fino?

Fino is a financial news and research assistant. It compiles a daily digest of US market news, adds a short plain-English read on each story, and answers questions about markets and assets you follow.

Is Fino financial advice?

No. Fino provides information and general commentary produced by an automated system. It is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. See the Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email and no password. Fino creates an anonymous account tied to your device the first time you open it.

How do I delete my data?

Open the Pro tab and tap the settings icon, then choose to delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your profile, conversations, assistant memory, followed topics, alerts and your device record. It cannot be undone. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Why is the news the same as earlier today?

The digest is compiled once a day, so stories refresh on that daily cycle rather than continuously.

Why did Fino stop answering my questions?

Generating answers costs real money, so there is a daily limit on how many questions each person can ask. The allowance resets at midnight UTC.

Can Fino be wrong?

Yes. Fino summarises third-party sources using artificial intelligence, and AI can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Market data may also be delayed. Verify anything that matters before you act on it.

How do I turn notifications off?

In your device settings, under notifications for Fino. You can also decline the permission when it is first requested.
